NSW: Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on NSW south coast

SYDNEY, April 21 AAP - A 25-year-old man has been killed in a hit-and-run incident
involving two cars on the NSW south coast.

Police said the man was attempting to cross Junction Street in Nowra when he was hit
by two vehicles travelling in an eastbound direction at 11.45pm (AEST) yesterday.

The man died at the scene of the incident.

The 20-year-old driver of the second vehicle, a Kia sedan, turned himself into police
at about two hours later.

He was released without charge pending further inquiries.

Police are still searching for the driver of the first vehicle, a white car.

They want the driver to contact them immediately.

Meanwhile, a motorcyclist died after being thrown from his bike while travelling with
a group of other riders near the northern NSW town of Coolah.

The 52-year-old left Cassius Road while negotiating a bend and landed on rocks at 12.30pm
(AEST) yesterday.

He was taken to Coolah Hospital in a critical condition but died a short time later.
