NSW: Police called in to western Sydney carols

Police were called in to break up a large brawl at a Christmans carol service .. in
western Sydney overnight.

They say officers from three local stations were called to the Glenmore Park Carols
by Candlelight .. about 9.30 pm .. following reports of brawling youths.

Police say a number of young people were moved on .. but no arrests were made.

The police haven't confirmed reports that up to one thousand teenagers were throwing
bottles and damaging property .. or that the riot squad had to be called in.

Officers remained until the end of the service to ensure there was no more trouble.
