Debbie Lewis loves kids, both her own and other people's as well. "If its related to kids and someone asks for help, I raise my hand and say yes," Lewis declares. Because of her love for kids and their mothers, her boss at the Steuben County Women Infants Children (WIC) program nominated her to be a Women in Leadership honoree.
"Debbie is the kind of nurse everyone would like to have," Carolyn Nagle wrote. "Each client is special to her and very important." Lewis is the Steuben County WIC program's only Registered Nurse, as well as its breastfeeding coordinator. She teaches breastfeeding classes at the clinic and also goes into hospitals and homes to make sure new mothers …
